Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist

Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist

Chrysanthemum cultivation is very dynamic. Innovations and developments follow one another in quick succession, such as: switching to LED lighting, low-energy cultivation, new heating techniques, eliminating crop protection resources and optimising branch weight and length.

This requires up-to-date knowledge of the grower and cultivation staff. Insight into planting and cultivation processes helps to make controlled changes and innovations.

Delphy Academy has developed a training programme ‘Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist’ especially for the professional cultivation of chrysanthemums. This programme consists of three separate training courses, collectively the training programme ‘Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist’. The individual training courses can also be followed as separate modules and in any order.

How does it work?

Learning is best done when you link words to situations. That is why we use various examples and exercises and go into the greenhouse. There is also plenty of room for questions and your own input. The set-up of the training is a very effective way to learn a lot in a short time. The training is given by Delphy chrysanthemum experts and trainer(s).

The result

The training courses are aimed at participants with some experience, who want to advance or gain more insight for modern chrysanthemum cultivation. The participants’ prior knowledge and knowledge needs are always taken into account in the training content. Each meeting consists of theory, practical elaboration and assignment(s).

A training course starts with the first meeting at Delphy Bleiswijk (Improvement Centre), but where possible, follow-up meetings are organised at companies including a visit to the company. A half-day session lasts about 4 hours (incl. break).

By increasing knowledge and insight, employees are more involved and motivated. In addition, they are better able to work independently, take responsibility and contribute to necessary future developments. This will contribute positively to personal growth and job satisfaction.

Upon completion of each training course, the participant receives a partial certificate. When all three training courses are completed, the participant receives the Delphy certificate: ‘Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist’.
