Training Chrysanthemum Cultivation Specialist

Chrysanthemum cultivation specialist

Chrysanthemum cultivation is very dynamic. Innovations and developments are evolving rapidly. Examples as: switching to LED lighting, low-energy cultivation, new heating techniques, the phasing out of crop protection products, and optimizing branch weight and length.

This requires up-to-date knowledge of the grower and cultivation staff. Understanding plant and cultivation processes helps to make controlled changes and implement innovations.

Delphy Academy has developed a training program ‘Chrysanthemum Cultivation Specialist’ especially for the professional cultivation of chrysanthemums. This program consists of three standalone trainings, collectively the training program ‘Chrysanthemum Cultivation Specialist’.

Supported by Delphy chrysanthemum cultivation experts, these trainings provide knowledge and tools for optimal cultivation and quality. This expert training is intended for company managers, cultivation managers and employees with responsibility in cultivation.

How it works?

Learning is most effective when concepts are linked to real-life situations. That’s why this training uses examples, exercises, and hands-on greenhouse activities. Participants can ask questions and contribute their insights. This setup enables participants to learn a lot in a short time. The training is given by Delphy strawberry experts and trainers.

The result

The training traings are aimed at participants with some experience, who want to advance or gain more insight for modern chrysanthemum cultivation. The participants’ background and knowledge needs are considered in the training content. Each meeting consists of theory, practical elaboration and assignment(s).

A training course starts with the first meeting at Delphy Bleiswijk (Improvement Centre), but where possible, follow-up meetings are organised at companies of participants, including a visit to the company. A half-day session lasts about 4 hours (incl. break).

By increasing knowledge and understanding, employees become more engaged and motivated. They are better equipped to work independently, take responsibility, and contribute to necessary future developments. This fosters personal growth and job satisfaction.

Participants receive a certificate for each completed training.

Completing all three trainings earns the Delphy certificate: ‘Chrysanthemum Cultivation Specialist’
