The potted plant sector is very dynamic. This requires up-to-date knowledge from the grower and employees. This training, developed for growers, managers or cultivation managers of pot plant companies, is focused on theoretical and practical knowledge, directly applicable to the company.
With the support of Delphy cultivation experts, this training provides knowledge and tools for optimal cultivation and quality. This expert training is intended for participants with some experience who want to grow or learn more about modern pot plant cultivation.
What do you learn?
In this expert training of 5 half-days, a different subjects of pot plant cultivation is discussed each half-day. Important subjects, with content directly applicable to the company. These subjects are supported by various Delphy trainers and consultants, always including current examples and exercises.
Program
- General, potting soil, fertigation and watering
General characteristics and cultivation systems, potting soil, soil analysis, fertilizers, deficiencies
- Growth and development (Plant physiology)
Relationships light, temperature, CO2, humidity, water transport, climate
- Climate management and sensors
Energy-saving controls, use of screen in practice, controlling humidity, lighting
- Economy
Cost calculation, space planning - Crop protection and growth regulation
Resilient cultivation, diseases and pests, integrated crop protection, growth regulation
The result
After 5 half-days, participants will have more practical tools on each subject, but also more understanding of their interrelationship for pot plant cultivation and business operations.
By increasing knowledge and insight, you are more committed and motivated. In addition, you are better able to work independently, take responsibility and think about necessary future developments. This will contribute positively to the personal growth and satisfaction of yourself or your employees.
At the end of the training, the participant will receive a certificate.

How does it work?
Learning is best done when you link words to situations. That is why we use various examples and exercises and go into the greenhouse. There is also plenty of room for questions and your own input. The design of the training is a very effective way to learn a lot in a short time.
