Fieldlab Vertical Farming 2.0

The Fieldlab Vertical Farming 2.0 is working on the further development and dissemination of knowledge regarding cultivation in daylight-free climate chambers. A consortium of various partners is conducting various studies, both cooperatively and individually. Themes that play a role in this project are:

  • Efficient use of materials/resources
  • Standardization of cultivation recipes
  • Knowledge dissemination
  • Education and market (opportunities)

Over the three-year period, the focus will be on herbs, the cultivation of various plants, and innovative cultivation methods.
At Delphy Improvement Centre, we are conducting various studies with herbs (such as basil and oregano) and the cultivation of various crops (such as cucumber and strawberry).

Research duration: 2024-2026

This project is made possible in part by support from EFRO-Kansen voor West 3 and the province of South Holland.
