I am involved in practical research into sustainable solutions for flower bulb cultivation. At our test garden in Lisse, we develop new knowledge and innovations through research and demonstrations that contribute to solutions for the current and future challenges of the flower bulb sector: more sustainable cultivation while maintaining a vital, resilient and profitable crop. The close connection with practice makes my work feel relevant and knowledge gained during my research projects is quickly applicable by growers on their own farms. We strive for a sustainable way of growing, while not losing sight of the possibility for growers to maintain a vital and profitable crop.
