A series of videos was made during the demonstration days on drift-reducing spraying techniques and emission reduction. For arable farmers or growers of crops in open fields, this series of videos offers a great opportunity to update their knowledge of the possibilities in spraying techniques.
The videos show the various spraying techniques that can be used in practice, the influence of drift-reducing spray nozzles on the effectiveness of application, and the relevant legislation. Each video shows how existing spraying techniques can be improved, which techniques are available on the market, and how they respond to changes in regulations.
Watch all the other videos on YouTube in the playlist ‘Drift-reducing spraying techniques:
- WingsSprayer (Delvano, John Deere)
- HTA/Airtec 25cm (Agrifac)
- Air 50cm (Hardi)
- Lowered boom 25cm (Horsch, Amazone)
- Lowered boom 25 cm PWM/Carbon Bee/VRA (Kverneland)
- Closed filling system (CTS Pentair, CTS Agrotop)
This series was commissioned by BO Akkerbouw. As part of the Plant Health Action Plan, BO Akkerbouw and its members endorse the importance of limiting emissions through drift or from farmyards and plots. This is the only way to retain effective crop protection products that would otherwise disappear if standards were exceeded. More information can be found on the project page.
