Flower Cultivation of the Future (SierTeelt van de Toekomst)
Times are changing rapidly. Changing climate conditions, stricter legislation and social expectations also require adaptation and new knowledge in the floriculture sector. To support growers in the tree cultivation, perennial plant and flower bulb sectors, Delphy will be organising various workshops and demonstration days over the next three years. These meetings will focus on transferring up-to-date knowledge so that entrepreneurs are well prepared for the future.
The activities within SierTeelt van de Toekomst (Flower cultivation of the Future) address themes that are becoming increasingly important for the sector: circular agriculture, soil health, nutrition management, crop protection, water quality, circular use of raw materials and sustainable entrepreneurship. Experts from Delphy demonstrate how new insights and techniques can contribute to resilient and sustainable cultivation systems.
With this project, Delphy aims to strengthen the floriculture sector by bringing knowledge closer to practice. In this way, we are building a future-proof and resilient floriculture sector in the Netherlands, step by step.
Together, we are working towards a future-proof tree nursery!
The meeting is organised by the SABE knowledge project SierTeelt van de Toekomst (Flower cultivation of the Future) and made possible in part by the European Union. The aim is to share knowledge and practical experience that helps growers make informed choices for future-oriented business operations.
