At Delphy Digital, I work on crop monitoring. This role allows me to combine my interest in technology and plant physiology: I use sensors and crop measurements to track the progress of the crop. I link this data to crop models to, amongst other things, produce reliable short-term harvest forecasts. The combination of climate, crop models and crop measurements ties in well with my background in Biosystems Engineering. Furthermore, I am particularly drawn to the collaboration with the Improvement Centre and the diversity of crops and growers I work with. I would like to contribute to future-proof cropping systems. I believe technical innovation is an effective means of achieving this.
