About Bio Rural
Together closing the gap between bio-based innovations and everyday life
The European economy still relies heavily on traditional production systems and non-recyclable materials. This poses a huge challenge to our planet and to the future of our society. Despite many efforts to reduce this dependence, EU member states produced as much as 61.8 million tons of plastic in 2018. These figures show that we still have a long way to go to integrate truly sustainable solutions into our daily lives.
To achieve this, Bio Rural has brought together a powerful coalition of 19 partners from 14 different countries. Together we are pooling our knowledge, resources and expertise to pave the way for a sustainable future. We promote the exchange of knowledge and explore business opportunities to stimulate rural development, so that bio-based solutions do not just remain a promise, but become a reality.
Bio Rural can thus provide you with the tools, knowledge and network you need to strengthen collaborations with farmers, policy makers, educational institutions and other key players in the sector. This way, together we contribute to economic growth and sustainable development in rural areas.
