Accelerating towards future-proof arable farming
Accelerating biobased = changing agriculture
On Tuesday 2 September 2025, Delphy, Proefboerderij Rusthoeve, BO Akkerbouw and the Province of Zeeland will organise the fourth Biobased Acceleration Day in Colijnsplaat. This day will be entirely devoted to transition, innovation and the application of biobased solutions in arable farming.
Under the motto ‘accelerating biobased = changing agriculture’”, entrepreneurs, researchers, policymakers and students will come together to discuss topics such as fibre crops, green chemistry, biobased building materials, digitisation, green resources and regenerative agriculture. With demonstrations, inspiring examples and an information market, the programme offers plenty of opportunities for collaboration within the chain.
The Southwest Delta plays a key role in this transition. With strong crops such as potatoes, onions, flax and grains, and a well-developed chain, the region has everything it needs to lead the way in the biobased movement. The Acceleration Day shows that agriculture and industry can build a circular future together.
