Cooperation between Delphy and Lentiz Education Group

Cooperation between Delphy and Lentiz Education Group starts within the Dutch South-African project ‘Capacity Building Gauteng’ and applies to the entire African continent.

On Thursday the 11th of February, Delphy and Lentiz Education Group committed themselves to a joint-implementation of the international BTEC course Horticulture within the capacity building Gauteng project during a joint meeting with local partners in Johannesburg, South-Africa. The main objective is to create a sustainable knowledge infrastructure on horticulture to enable black emerging farmers and students to successfully start up horticultural activities and will run until April 2017. The project is derived from a combination of the five intervention points of the RSA-NED Horti Business Platform.

BTEC

BTEC is a work-related qualification that meets the needs of employers and allows student progression to University. BTEC’s provide a practical approach to learning, based on essential subject theory and are recognised by schools, Universities and employers worldwide. Within the project Delphy and Lentiz Education Group will offer the BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Horticulture to the local partners; ARC, Buhle Farms, Qutom Farms, GDARD and ASNAPP. The course will have specific focus on greenhouse-production of vegetables. Students have an option to progress into a BTEC Diploma course at Lentiz.

Lentiz Education Group
