Short Course Edible Mushrooms 30 January – 2 February 2018
During this course all aspects of growing with sterilized and pasteurized substrates will be dealt with.
A unique opportunity to get informed about the latest developments, to expand your knowledge and to get new contacts in the edible mushroom business.
The course will be directed by Niek de Ligt and Jan Gielen with guest lectures from experienced edible mushroom growers and substrate producers.
This course is meant for workers of an edible mushroom farm, (starting) self-employed persons and farm and/or substrate facility managers.
Good working knowledge of the English language is required to make the most of this course.
The course combines theory and practice of growing other edible mushrooms like e.g. Shiitake (Lentinus edodes), Grey oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus),
King oyster (Pleurotus eryngii), Nameko (Pholiota nameco), Pioppiono (Agrocybe agearita) and Maitake (Grifola frondosa). Many subjects will be practically explained.
Visits to spawn and substrate suppliers, technical companies and several edible mushroom farms during the course. The official language is English.

The course fee will be Euro 1125,- (excl. VAT) per person (including 1st day course opening dinner, lunch and transport related to the course).
The short course lasts 4 days and will be organised from 30 January – 2 February 2018
