Energy efficient pepper cultivation whilst maintaining quality
The goal of this research is to realize a practical energy efficient cultivation of peppers while maintaining quality. Through the use of dual screens and the use of heating based on temperature demand the maximum gas consumption at the end of the cultivation is 20 m3/m2. Quality control takes place amongst other ways by using a dual screen in creating a homogeneous environment by minimizing radiation and preventing climate shocks. Screens will open based on differences in temperature above and below the screen. Nivolatoren are used to achieve a slight air circulation in the greenhouse.
